Rise With The Dead Series Revival

Description

So I'm going back to an old story concept of mine that I did way back in 2005-2006 called 'Rise With the Dead', it's a romantic comic series I had that was something like Monster High meets Shoujo Sect-I kind of abandoned it at first because a lot of other series similar to it were popping up; Monster High, Heart-Pounding Adventure in Mononoke Girl's Academy, etc-but I've gotten over that frustration and have decided to come back to-and completely overhaul the concept of the series. These are just three of the main characters planned for Rise With the Dead, from left to right: Miho the zombie, Karin the Kuchisake-onna and Akira the lizardwoman. The story and other characters are still being worked on so stay tuned for further updates as I try to hammer the series out-!
-Edit: Added two more characters to the cast, Nanami the Iriomote catgirl and Charlie the cyclopian girl

*shrug* Just because it's been done before doesn't mean your idea isn't worth a shot.
I mean, really, what HASN'T been done before by this point?
Even if you come up with something completely off the wall, (like a pudding monster that dispenses vanilla when pleased and chocolate when displeased, I don't know), and something out-of-the-box for it to do, (travel to space and grow hands so it can hold the sun up, forever causing one day a year to rain down baked pudding onto Earth), somebody somewhere has already written something similar enough that people will say "it's been done."
Three of my main characters are half-angels. If that hasn't been done to death, I don't know what has. It's the creator's job to give their characters something that sets them apart. Sure, it's been done before; but has it been done your way?
Also, don't ask me about that pudding monster thing; it was seriously the only thing that came to mind that I hadn't heard before.
